Aaron Terence Hughes Blood Orange Review: A Citrus Scent Done Right

Aaron Terence Hughes Blood Orange

After months of turning my nose away to citrus fragrances along comes ATH with this absolute beauty as I bring you this Aaron Terence Hughes Blood Orange review.

Immediately after trying Creed Aventus I put it on eBay instantly as I ran as far away as I could from this lemon furniture cleaner that stung my nostrils.

I hate citrus fragrances and hate them with a passion as absolutely none of them no matter how big the company is can seem to get the balance right, even Roja’s Elysium was far too Aventus like in the opening that I just couldn’t bring myself to keep it despite its superb dry down.

In steps Aaron Terence Hughes with Blood Orange as this fragrance has completely changed my mind regarding citrus fragrances.

Immediately after spraying this I knew this was going to be a good one.

This is a stand out and notice me fragrance and the opening is illuminating. This isn’t synthetic orange or any of this other synthetic citrus note it smells real, it smells natural and if it isn’t there’s some synthetic magic going on here that’s for sure.

A beautiful orange note invites you in and it’s not harsh it’s warm and inviting like you’ve just cracked open a Terry’s chocolate orange, it’s a creamy citrus scent.

In on of Aaron’s previous videos it was advised to spray this fragrance more than you usually would due to a shorter longevity.

DO NOT DO THIS!

It seems as though this fragrance has been reformulated or similar because I only sprayed it once.. yes once.. and it was projecting for 4 hours, stayed on my skin for a solid 10 hours and is still on my shirt 2 days later as strong as the day I sprayed it.

Once the orange blast dies down you are welcomed with this floral array with rose just tingling the base notes and some musk through in there for good measure.

My girlfriend absolutely loved this fragrance and spent way longer than anyone should embracing me in a hug just to enjoy the fragrance.

It’s enticing, it’s devious and delicious and it’s better than any of the big brand citrus fragrances that I’ve experienced it.

I’ve seen many a review wanting to add woody notes into the dry down but I disagree.

This fragrance just holds firm and sweet and the dry down brings this kind of warmth to the scent.

Aaron Terence Hughes Blood Orange is an absolute delight and you’d be a bloody fool not to at least try it out!
